Senior Orthopaedic Scrub Registered Nurse
Pretoria’s Specialist Orthopaedic Practice
About the Practice
includes the following: The practice’s sole focus is on elective ortincludes the following:urgery, which includes:
- Surgery to replace a joint
- Orthopaedics for sports
- Arthroscopic techniques
No regular trauma or emergency calls after hours. An organized elective setting is provided by this role.
Important Duties
- Scrub nurse for orthopaedic theatre lists
- Scrubbing for joint replacement and arthroscopic procedures
- Theatre preparation and instrument coordination
- Ensuring theatre readiness and sterile protocol compliance
- Coordination of theatre lists and theatre-related communication
- Assisting with pre-operative and post-operative ward rounds
- – aidaid – aid Handling patient and medical aid clinical queries
- Assisting with clinical administration and patient coordination
- Updating clinical registries and related documentation
- Acting as a clinical resource within the practice environment
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- nurse diploma/degree
- Active SANC registration
- Minimum 8–10 years orthopaedic theatre scrubbing experience
- Extensive experience in:
- Total knee replacements
- Total hip replacements
- Arthroscopic procedures
- Strong understanding of orthopaedic theatre workflow and sterile technique
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Based in Pretoria or surrounding areas
- Own reliable transport

Working Structure
- Approximately 3 theatre days per week
