Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in public administration, public management, social science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in community partnership or community development within the public sector.
- A valid South African driver’s license.
- Knowledge of public sector policies, regulations, strategic planning, service delivery frameworks, and financial management legislation.
- Understanding of EPWP implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Recruitment & Staffing
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Expanded Public Works Program (EPWP).
- Manage EPWP monitoring and evaluation systems within the department and social sector.
- Prepare and submit compliance and performance reports.
- Support municipalities and social sector stakeholders participating in EPWP initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and intergovernmental collaboration.
- Conduct site visits, audits, and program assessments.
- Supervise and mentor EPWP staff and regional coordinators.
- Develop operational plans, policies, and guidelines aligned with national EPWP requirements.
