With local presence in Senegal, Mozambique, Zambia, Morocco, Mauritius, and Ghana, we deliver 10-12 high-level conferences and exhibitions per year across the mining, energy, oil &amp; gas, finance, and infrastructure sectors in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are currently seeking an\u00a0<strong>experienced marketing manager for conferences and events<\/strong>\u00a0to market and promote the events, defining and implementing the marketing strategy and working alongside some other marketing executives. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about events, with demonstrated leadership skills and a good understanding of B2B events, and additional language (especially French) is preferred. Traveling and working in fast-global developing markets means this is a role for a dynamic, creative, and entrepreneurial person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You will be responsible for:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STRATEGY<\/strong>: defining and planning strategic campaigns for our events to maximise the revenue and reach the target. The scope will be to generate at least 30 new leads per week for the sales team to close and indirectly generate revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LEADERSHIP<\/strong>: mentor and support the team to maximise their performance and engage with the various contractors and communications agencies in the various countries we operate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>EXECUTION &amp; PROJECT MANAGEMENT<\/strong>: Executing and overseeing marketing campaign activity timelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>COPYWRITING:<\/strong>&nbsp;Ability to write good content, must be original, eye-catching copy for the use of emails, social posts and websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RELATIONSHIP BUILDING AND NEGOTIATION<\/strong>: Establishing strategic partnerships with influential associations or companies within the industry to deliver traffic and registrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>INTER-DEPARTMENT RELATIONSHIPS<\/strong>: Working closely with other departments as part of the team to collaborate and manage expectations to deliver set targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TECHNICAL<\/strong>: understanding the usage of CRM and other software in order to produce reports and successful campaigns.
