Job Description
The Shop Assistant/Cashier P27 role involves various responsibilities aimed at providing customers with a seamless shopping experience.
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions efficiently, maintaining store presentation, and ensuring that all products are correctly priced and available.
Other responsibilities include risk management and adherence to company policies and values.

Role Responsibilities
1. Customer Service

- Assist shoppers in locating products

2. Cashier Duties
- Process cash, card payments, and lay-by transactions
- Handle customer refunds efficiently
- Maintain accurate till balancing and report any discrepancies
- Follow company policies on financial transactions
3. Merchandising
- Ensure accurate pricing and proper product display
- Stock replenishment to maintain product availability
- Maintain store cleanliness and tidiness
- Keep up to date with in-store promotions
4. Risk and Security Management
- Ensure tagging of products according to company policies
- Participate in regular stock-taking exercises
- Monitor store for potential shoplifting and fraudulent activities
- Report any suspicious activities to store management
